Pan

Alias: P

Shifts the view without changing the zoom level or orientation.

Description

The Pan command moves the canvas view so you can see a different area of the drawing without changing the zoom magnification. It is equivalent to scrolling or dragging the viewport.

Workflow

Type P and press Space or Enter.
Click and drag the canvas to shift the view in any direction.
Press Enter or Escape to end the pan command.

Tips

You can also pan at any time (without running the command) by holding the middle mouse button and dragging.
Use Zoom to change the magnification of the view.
Panning does not move or affect any objects in the drawing.
